The Customer Director Consultancy is the strategic connector who translates complex business issues into mission‑critical solutions that deliver real value. Not through treating symptoms, but through in-depth research into what lies behind our customers' business-critical challenges and building smart, sustainable solutions for them together with our subject matter experts. You won't see your advice disappear into a drawer, but come to life in mission‑critical solutions that keep our customers running 24/7.

For many Senior Managers and Directors, this is the perfect combination: substantive depth, strategic business issues, technology-driven change, and real impact at C‑level without having to become a full-time commercial or people manager.

Here, it is about craftsmanship, ownership, and building solutions that actually matter, for customers and for the Netherlands. You get the autonomy that is often lacking in large corporates: direct customer relationships, short lines of communication, few internal layers, and the freedom to determine your own agenda and approach. You are the expert, not a cog in a machine.

You are involved in both the pre-sales and the sales process. During the delivery process, you focus primarily on stakeholder management, but you also contribute directly to the implementation through your expertise.

You work closely with Customer Directors (Sales & Delivery), Architects, Tech Leads, and engineers as a full member of a team that runs on ownership, craftsmanship, and trust. You are the catalyst for innovation, continuous development, and contribute to the improvement of our data‑driven, cloud, software, and security solutions. You inspire with new insights, ask the right questions, and constantly surprise customers with solutions that go beyond expectations.

What you will do

• You analyze and conduct thorough research into the (technical) context of the market and situation;
• You create insights into the most important needs of our customers;
• You are the trusted advisor at C-level and Senior management level and guide them in decision-making within complex processes;
• You make the translation from business issues to (innovative) technical solutions;
• You convince customers of the real business value our services deliver, by presenting technology together with engineers in the form of a working ‘proof of value’ instead of just a PowerPoint or mock up (show don’t tell).

What you bring

• You have relevant experience within (IT) Consultancy (>10 years) and demonstrable affinity with cloud technology, software development, security services, and data/AI propositions;
• You have in-depth knowledge of our customer areas, their business model, their processes, distribution, and customer needs. Through your work in various customer assignments, you have a (broad) network in the industries where we are active;
• You are substantively and analytically strong (quantitative and qualitative) and multidisciplinary in thinking and doing;
• You have relevant experience with data-driven, software, cloud, and security issues and the implementation of technologies for process improvement;
• You have experience with stakeholder management at CxO and Senior management level;
• Although Schuberg Philis is strongly focused on collaboration, you are a self-starter and an enthusiast with your drive. Additionally, you are results-driven, with quality being your highest priority. This enables you to create support among both clients and engineers;
• You master both the Dutch and English languages at a high level.
