Accountant

Scope of duties:

• booking of cost, sales, and warehouse documents,
• verification of documents in terms of formal and accounting aspects,
• reconciliation of general ledger balances and settlements with contractors,
• preparation and execution of payments,
• participation in the month-end and year-end closing process,
• participation in the preparation of tax declarations (VAT, CIT) and reports to GUS and NBP,
• support in the preparation of financial statements,
• cooperation with auditors and tax advisors,
• cooperation with other company departments (purchasing, logistics, production),
• participation in improving accounting processes and implementing new solutions.

Requirements:

• education: secondary vocational, type: economic - mandatory; higher (including bachelor's degree) - desirable
• foreign languages: English - speaking: B1 - intermediate, writing: B1 - intermediate - mandatory
• other: - higher or secondary specialized education (finance, accounting, economics),
• minimum 2-3 years of experience in a similar position,
• practical knowledge of accounting principles and tax regulations (VAT, CIT),
• good knowledge of Microsoft Excel,
• experience working with ERP systems (knowledge of SAP Business One is welcome),
• analytical thinking skills and accuracy,
• good work organization and independence,
• communicative knowledge of the English language.

Nice to have:

• experience in a manufacturing company,
• knowledge of production cost accounting and warehouse management,
• participation in audit processes or year-end closings,
• knowledge of issues regarding fixed assets.
