About us

The Furnace Construction & Maintenance department ensures the technical availability of our melting plants worldwide. In doing so, the team makes an important contribution to the quality and innovation of SCHOTT special glass production.

Your tasks

• Execution of furnace masonry work on furnaces and tanks worldwide
• Independent repair and maintenance work, also during ongoing operation
• Evaluation of assemblies and determination of suitable measures
• Manufacturing and pre-assembly of components according to technical drawings
• Operation of stone saws, drilling machines, and other special tools
• Organization of material, storage, and transport processes
• Participation in the safe execution of maintenance work
• Maintenance and care of machines, tools, and work equipment

Your profile

• Training as a tiler, industrial mechanic, or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience in plant, industrial, or steel construction
• Knowledge in reading technical drawings
• Experience in construction site organization is an advantage
• Confident handling of SAP and MS Office
• Good English skills
• High orientation towards occupational safety
• Physical resilience and willingness to travel internationally
