Trainee - Automation (m/f/d)
Do you want to enter the world of automation after your studies and directly participate in the future of logistical processes? As a Trainee Automation (m/f/d), you will learn the essential basics, areas of responsibility, and working methods in the field of automation technology within 12 months and will take on more responsibility step by step. You will gain insights into real logistics processes, work with various departments and external solution partners, and develop your know-how regarding automation, digitalization, and the economic evaluation of technical solutions. At the same time, you will build a regional and international network within the Schnellecke organization as well as with relevant technology and solution partners. In doing so, you will undertake the following tasks, among others: Analysis of logistics processes and evaluation of automation potentials, taking into account customer requirements and operational framework conditions Participation in the development and evaluation of economic automation solutions for logistical processes Support in the creation of project presentations, decision templates, and specifications (Lastenhefte) Collaboration in supplier research, cost estimates, and economic feasibility studies Collaboration with Operation, IT, Purchasing, and external technology partners from the initial idea to implementation and commissioning Building and maintaining a network of relevant technology and solution providers Observation of current technologies and market trends and transferring new solution approaches to our logistics processes Participation in international projects as well as exchange with comparable functions in our regions and the headquarters
Completed or advanced studies in the field of Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, IT, or a comparable technical or economic-technical degree program Initial practical experience in warehouse, logistics, production, process planning, or automation technology is an advantage, for example through internships, working student positions, or study projects Good technical understanding and interest in automation technology, logistics processes, and digital solution concepts Initial knowledge in process analysis, layout planning, material flow, or the economic evaluation of technical solutions is desirable Ideally, initial experience with MTM, Visio, CAD programs, data analysis, or comparable planning tools Good German and English skills in speaking and writing Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working as well as a quick grasp of new concepts Proactivity, willingness to learn, and enjoyment in taking on increasing responsibility Strong communication skills and enjoyment in collaborating with different departments and international partners Willingness for occasional business travel
