Senior Designer (all genders)

Please note that this position is based in Munich within our hybrid working model. Relocation assistance is not offered.

The following adventures await you at Schleich:

Design & Development

• Holistic responsibility for product design and creative product development in the toy sector
• Development of innovative product ideas, design concepts, and products, from research and concept boards to prototyping
• Design development in 2D and 3D including visualization, color composition, packaging design, and industrialization
• Conducting design presentations, creative brainstorming, as well as design and concept workshops

Leadership & Interface Management

• Functional leadership or management of project and creative teams
• Representation of the design department and support of the Head of Design
• Close cooperation with internal interfaces such as Brand Management, Engineering, and Quality
• Management and coordination of external partners, agencies, and service providers

Planning & Organization

• Responsibility for budget and resource planning in the design area
• Optimization of processes as well as ensuring efficient data and project management
• Co-design and further development of internal design processes and standards

The chapters of your previous story:

Qualification & Experience

• Completed studies in the field of design (e.g., industrial or product design)
• Several years of professional experience (at least 5+ years), ideally in the product development of consumer goods
• Experience in the toy industry is a plus

Technical Knowledge & Tools

• Strong design skills in 2D and 3D (sketching, model making, CAD)
• Proficient use of industry-standard tools such as Rhino, Autodesk, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with ZBrush is a big plus
• Sound anatomical understanding as well as experience in figurative design, character, or game design is an advantage

Working Style & Communication

• Creative and strategic mindset
• Structured, independent way of working with high quality standards
• Strong communication skills in an international environment
• Very good English skills and willingness to travel internationally
• Leadership experience is a plus
