We are looking for you! Software Developer (m/f/d) C/C++ focus on low-level development (Electrical Engineer, Computer Scientist or similar) to support our software development in our subsidiary Scheidt & Bachmann Fare Collection Systems GmbH at the Mönchengladbach location.

Your tasks

• Source code instead of dress code? Let your creativity run wild as you design and develop software for our products (end devices such as ticket machines, validators, cash register systems, mobile sales systems) in a team.
• Do you want to make a difference? You will actively participate, from analysis to design and implementation, through to as automated tests as possible, deployment and maintenance, up to improvement suggestions.
• Advance us with your technical know-how and also work interdisciplinarily with other teams.
• Are you passionate about agile software development? You analyze new technical requirements, develop implementation proposals and enjoy implementing them in the team and in stages of the agile software development processes.
• Does efficiency make you happy? Make it easier for yourself, the team and others by making your software simple and safe to use and automating the required tests as much as possible.

What you bring with you

• Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or comparable
• Very good knowledge of C/C++, experience with object-oriented development, preferably with the Qt-Framework, Python and SQL
• Knowledge in the field of agile software development, experience with Scrum, Jira and Confluence desirable
• Experience with modern development tools and methods for CI/CD is helpful
• Affinity for technical products, knowledge of low-level development under Windows and Linux is advantageous
• Motivation to independently work out complex relationships and to develop software in agile, international teams
• Strong communication and cooperation skills, good English skills
• Goal-oriented, independent way of working as well as strong teamwork skills
