*Responsibilities*

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression for visitors to the dental office.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communications effectively.
  • Utilize dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic to schedule appointments, update patient records, and process billing information accurately.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures to facilitate clear communication with patients and staff.
  • Verify insurance information, process claims, and handle billing inquiries with attention to detail and confidentiality.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area while managing administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Support the clinical team by preparing necessary documentation and ensuring all patient information is correctly entered into electronic medical records systems.
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies to ensure operational efficiency.

*Experience*

  • Prior experience working as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office environment is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with dental practice management software such as Dentrix and Epic is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry enhances communication with patients and clinical staff.
  • Experience handling electronic medical records (EMRs) and insurance processing is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
  • Previous office experience in a healthcare setting provides valuable familiarity with administrative workflows and compliance standards.
  • Excellent organizational skills combined with effective communication abilities are critical for success in this role.
