Daily tasks

• performing the role of Technical Lead in a Scrum team, including setting the technological direction and co-creating architectural decisions,
• actively designing and developing backend solutions in Java 21/25 and Spring Boot, constituting approximately 75% of project engagement,
• designing and developing microservices architecture and distributed systems,
• collaborating with the Product Owner, analysts, and business representatives to refine requirements,
• translating business requirements into technical solutions,
• defining and developing programming, architectural, and integration standards,
• conducting code reviews and ensuring high-quality solutions,
• technical mentoring and supporting the development of the developers' team competencies,
• supporting the team in analyzing and solving technical problems,
• designing system integrations and REST API,
• applying DDD, architectural and integration patterns, and Event-Driven Architecture,
• designing solutions that ensure performance, security, and scalability of systems,
• developing end-to-end observability mechanisms and system diagnostics,
• optimizing SQL queries and utilizing relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL,
• collaborating with other Scrum teams, architects, DevOps, and integration teams,
• identifying technological risks and participating in decision-making regarding solutions,
• utilizing containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes,
• participating in initiatives related to cloud usage, preferably Azure, and AI solutions supporting the development process,
• project technological environment: Java 21/25, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, microservices, Angular, Kafka, REST API, Flowable, OpenL, Redis, Azure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, DDD, BDD, Agentic AI.
• service delivery model: hybrid – minimum 3 days a week in the Client's office in Warsaw, the remaining 2 days remotely,
• project budget: up to 180 PLN/h + VAT, depending on experience and the scope of services provided.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

• minimum 5 years of experience in designing and building web systems,
• very good knowledge of Java, supported by current experience in developing production solutions and readiness for active programming for approximately 75% of project engagement,
• experience in designing and developing microservices architecture and distributed systems,
• very good knowledge of architectural and integration patterns,
• very good knowledge of API design and system integration,
• very good knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design),
• practical knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query optimization,
• practical knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture,
• practical knowledge of end-to-end observability,
• experience in code review, mentoring, and leading a technical team,
• experience in cross-team collaboration, co-creating technological decisions, and risk assessment,
• knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes,
• English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2.

Nice to have:

• practical knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure,
• knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices,
• knowledge of Agentic AI / AI in SDLC, including the use of AI for development automation and supporting architectural decisions.
