Daily tasks

• designing and developing scalable backend systems and participating in architectural decision-making regarding services, API, and cloud infrastructure,
• working in the AWS environment,
• creating, reviewing, and maintaining high-quality software in Java and Spring Boot,
• development and integration of REST API and distributed systems,
• responsibility for delivering solutions from the design stage to the production environment,
• improving the reliability, performance, and security of systems,
• monitoring applications, analyzing production issues, and participating in incident response,
• developing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests,
• applying CI/CD practices, code review, and code quality control mechanisms,
• collaborating with Product and UX teams in defining requirements and technical solutions,
• sharing knowledge and providing technical support to other team members,
• utilizing new technologies and tools that support development, including AI-based solutions.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

several years of commercial experience in the role of Senior Java Developer / Backend Developer, very good knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and REST API, AWS, experience in designing and building scalable applications and distributed systems, practical knowledge of MongoDB, experience in integrating complex business systems, e.g., payments, reservations, customer profiles, CMS systems, or data processing platforms, experience working with cloud platforms, practical knowledge of CI/CD, containerization, and modern DevOps practices, experience in automating unit and integration tests, good knowledge of issues related to application and network security, knowledge of issues related to monitoring, application resilience, and production system maintenance, experience in making technical and architectural decisions, ability to cooperate with product and technical teams.
