Daily tasks

• performing services in a project within the smart security solutions industry. Work includes implementing cloud solutions, backend and frontend development, adapting the user experience (UX) in the web application, and maintaining production environments,
• implementing and maintaining staging and production environments in AWS (containers, CI/CD, secrets management, Firebase),
• configuring and handling integrations with event processes (event workers),
• publishing new versions of the application with the possibility of rolling back changes (rollback) and maintaining separated environments,
• monitoring APIs, worker processes, and certificates,
• handling incidents and implementing security patches,
• maintaining operational procedures (runbooks) and preparing monthly operational reports,
• implementing and maintaining changes in APIs based on Node.js/Express,
• adapting integrations in case of changes in services or SDK libraries,
• resolving issues blocking the production environment, such as authentication/JWT, event logging, CI gateways, or external application configuration,
• working with PostgreSQL, Redis, and S3 used by the platform,
• code review and taking responsibility for its maintenance after the solution is handed over,
• adapting SPA-type applications based on React + Vite,
• matching menus and screens to user role specifications on the platform (implemented in stages according to product priorities),
• enforcing UX security principles (e.g., no possibility of remote device control from the web application where prohibited),
• fixing bugs reported during user acceptance testing and performing smoke tests before deploying new versions,
• project location: Zabierzów,
• service delivery mode: hybrid (meetings 2 times a month at the client's office in Zabierzów),
• project budget: up to 160 PLN/h + VAT, depending on experience and the scope of services provided.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

minimum 6 years of experience working with APIs based on Node.js / Express and SPA-type applications created in React (Vite or similar solutions),

knowledge of AWS, containerization, and CI/CD processes (e.g., GitHub Actions), as well as secrets management and environment configuration,

practical knowledge of PostgreSQL and the ability to work with Redis and object storage,

experience in implementing changes in production code (not exclusively in systems administration),

English language level enabling free communication,

experience in cooperating with external software providers and working on shared Git repositories,

ability to respond to incidents.

Nice to have:

experience in the area of IoT and cloud platforms for devices (certificates, webhooks, KMS, CoAP/HTTP gateways),

knowledge of Firebase Authentication as well as automated API tests and end-to-end (E2E) tests,

experience with Kubernetes, Helm, or similar container orchestration solutions.
