Daily tasks

• analysis of business and technical requirements regarding monitoring and observability of the data platform,
• collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams,
• designing, creating, and developing dashboards and monitoring statistics in Grafana,
• defining KPIs, technical and business metrics, as well as quality and process performance indicators,
• designing process monitoring concepts using BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, and Dataplex services,
• prototyping observability solutions and recommending best practices for monitoring data platforms,
• configuring monitoring tools and preparing solutions for implementation by operations teams,
• analyzing data processing performance, data quality, and platform availability,
• supporting project teams in diagnosing problems and analyzing the root causes of irregularities,
• conducting workshops and analytical meetings and presenting technical recommendations,
• developing standards and recommendations for monitoring modern data platforms,
• service delivery model: 100% remote
• project budget: up to 175 PLN/h + VAT, depending on experience and the scope of services provided.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

• minimum 4–5 years of experience in the area of DevOps, Monitoring Engineering, Observability Engineering, or related,
• very good knowledge of Grafana, including dashboard design, metric visualization, and alerting configuration,
• practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP),
• knowledge of BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, or Dataplex services,
• experience in designing and building Monitoring & Observability solutions for data processing environments,
• ability to define KPIs, technical and business metrics, as well as quality and performance indicators,
• experience in analyzing business and technical requirements,
• ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams,
• experience in conducting workshops, analytical meetings, and presenting recommendations,
• independence, proactivity, and the ability to propose and justify technical solutions.

Nice to have:

• experience in banking or financial projects,
• knowledge of Google Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Loki, or OpenTelemetry tools,
• experience in projects related to building data warehouses, Data Lake, or DataHub,
• knowledge of Data Quality, Data Governance, and DataOps issues.
