Daily tasks

• designing, developing, and maintaining the database layer of business systems based on Microsoft SQL Server,
• designing data models for new applications and services,
• creating and developing database objects, including stored procedures, functions, views, triggers, and data types,
• designing data exchange interfaces between systems,
• collaborating with .NET, Java, and integration teams regarding data access,
• analyzing and optimizing the performance of T-SQL queries, execution plans, and indexing strategies,
• managing statistics, table partitioning, and optimizing batch and ETL processes,
• designing high availability solutions using SQL Server Replication, Always On Availability Groups, Read-Only Replicas, and Log Shipping,
• planning database placement, filegroups, data volume growth, and archiving,
• building and maintaining batch processes and automating data processing,
• creating and developing SQL Server Agent jobs,
• analyzing and resolving performance issues occurring in data processing processes,
• implementing T-SQL coding standards and participating in database code reviews,
• controlling application permissions and auditing data usage,
• supporting performance and migration testing,
• providing services in a hybrid model, including presence in the Warsaw office 2 days a week,
• a rate of up to 140 PLN/h + VAT based on B2B cooperation.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

• minimum 4 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server,
• very good knowledge of T-SQL,
• ability to design relational data models,
• experience in SQL query optimization and Execution Plans analysis,
• experience in designing and optimizing indexes,
• experience in table partitioning,
• practical knowledge of SQL Server Agent,
• knowledge of Transactional Replication, Snapshot Replication, and Always On Availability Groups mechanisms,
• experience in designing and maintaining batch processes,
• ability to diagnose and resolve performance problems,
• experience in the area of database architecture and data processing.

Nice to have:

• knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS),
• experience with Azure SQL,
• knowledge of Azure Data Factory,
• practical knowledge of PowerShell,
• experience working with Git and Azure DevOps,
• experience in high-volume environments,
• experience in the banking or payment sector.
