Daily tasks

• participation in a project related to the financial industry. Technology stack used: Cobol, CI/CD, Java, CICS, zOS, JCL, Git, Cloud,
• developing new functionalities,
• development in an international environment, where Cobol remains a key technology, while also offering the possibility to explore new technologies, such as Java and microservices,
• code integration in a complex IT environment,
• delivering code, scripts, and unit tests in accordance with acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done,
• integration of software provided by external vendors with the IT ecosystem,
• managing production and non-production environments,
• ensuring application operability, including monitoring and alerting,
• updating processes and documentation in accordance with introduced changes,
• project location: Warszawa,
• service delivery mode: hybrid – 3 days a week working from the office,
• project budget: up to 160 PLN/h + VAT, depending on experience and the scope of services provided.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

minimum 3 years of experience in a position related to development in Cobol technology,

a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering,

experience working in Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and the ability to work with Waterfall-based projects,

experience with technologies: CICS, zOS, JCL,

knowledge of best practices (BDD, TDD, CI/CD),

knowledge of English at a level of fluent communication in speaking and writing (min. B2).

Nice to have: 

knowledge of Java.
