Daily tasks

• implementation of analytical projects in the media, telecommunications, and subscription services industries,
• designing and developing Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI, dbt, Snowflake, Airflow, and Microsoft Fabric,
• creating and developing semantic models, reports, and Power BI dashboards,
• building data models in dbt and Snowflake and implementing business logic in the appropriate layer of the data architecture,
• designing end-to-end solutions covering both the data layer and the reporting layer,
• optimizing data models, SQL queries, reports, and providing support in solving production issues, providing technical support to the development team when implementing complex technical issues,
• conducting reviews of data models, code, and designed solutions,
• mentoring specialists and developing standards and best practices in the BI area,
• identifying opportunities for simplification, optimization, and refactoring of existing solutions,
• automating development, testing, deployment, and monitoring processes,
• utilizing APIs, scripts, CI/CD, and AI tools to support service delivery,
• collaborating with international and central Data / BI teams to create common models, components, and standards,
• adapting global solutions to local business needs,
• active participation in the development of an architecture assuming the centralization of business logic and KPIs in Snowflake / dbt while maintaining Power BI as the semantic and reporting layer,
• collaborating in an international environment with teams located in different countries,
• cooperation model: remote,
• a rate of up to 200 PLN/h based on B2B cooperation.

Requirements

Competencies required to perform the services:

very good practical knowledge of Power BI, Power BI Service, and semantic models,

good knowledge of DAX and the principles of optimizing data models and reports,

experience in implementing and maintaining production Power BI solutions, including in the area of security and access management,

very good knowledge of SQL and practical experience with dbt,

experience working with Snowflake or another cloud data platform,

knowledge of dimensional modeling and designing shared KPIs and reusable data models,

the ability to consciously divide business logic between the data layer and the reporting layer,

experience in independently designing and implementing BI solutions,

practical knowledge of Git, code review, CI/CD, and development, testing, and deployment processes,

experience in using APIs and scripting tools such as Python or PowerShell,

knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, particularly the areas of Power BI, Semantic Models, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Direct Lake, and Pipelines,

experience with Airflow or similar data process orchestration tools,

knowledge of Liquibase or similar solutions for database change management,

experience with AI-assisted development and tools supporting the implementation of developer services,

knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) and its practical applications,

the ability to safely use AI agents for process automation,

the ability to create clear and useful Power BI reports and dashboards,

knowledge of data visualization principles and analytical solution design,

experience in supporting other specialists and sharing technical knowledge,

independence, proactivity, and responsibility for the quality of delivered solutions,

the ability to cooperate with business stakeholders, Data Engineering teams, and international teams,

knowledge of the English language enabling free communication in an international environment.

An additional asset will be:

experience with Power BI deployment automation and the use of Power BI / Fabric APIs,

experience in building automated tests for data, models, or analytical processes,

experience in the media, telecommunications, OTT industry, or in projects related to subscription products,

experience gained in large BI environments and analytical platform modernization projects.
