Requirements

  • Diploma or higher qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Construction, or a related discipline .
  • Ideally 3–5 years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience , preferably in the construction or engineering industry .
  • Candidates with less experience or fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome to apply, provided they are willing to learn quickly and take initiative .
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams .
  • Able to source materials, obtain quotations, compare prices and negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and suitable commercial terms.
  • Able to prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up on orders, deliveries and outstanding items.
  • Able to coordinate closely with project/site teams to understand material and manpower requirements and delivery schedules .
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple purchase orders and enquiries simultaneously .
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word .
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling quotations, purchase orders, invoices and other procurement documentation.
  • Able to perform general administrative duties and assist with documentation and coordination when required.
  • Independent, responsible and hands-on , with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Able to work in a small and fast-paced company environment , where the role may cover both procurement and general administration.
  • Singaporean / PR preferred .

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and purchase construction materials, tools, equipment and other items required for projects.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms and delivery arrangements.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and maintain proper procurement records.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order status, delivery schedules and outstanding items.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, QS and site personnel on purchasing requirements.
  • Monitor material requirements and ensure timely delivery to project sites.
  • Liaise with existing suppliers and develop new supplier relationships where required.
  • Check purchase invoices against Purchase Orders and delivery records.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of procurement records.
  • Assist with general administrative and coordination duties within the company.
  • Undertake other procurement or administrative tasks as required.
