Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

Survey installation requirements and configure IP cameras, recording profiles and access permissions. Deploy and integrate network video recorders and video-management systems, including compatible ONVIF devices. Configure IPTV and AV-over-IP equipment, encoders, decoders and commercial video-wall controllers. Calculate video bandwidth and recording storage requirements; implement agreed retention settings. Coordinate PoE, VLAN, multicast and QoS requirements with the network team. Test image quality, playback, synchronisation, alarms and resilience; resolve integration faults. Maintain cameras, recorders, controllers and displays; provide configuration records and user handover.

Requirements:

At least 5 years of relevant CCTV, IPTV, AV-over-IP or commercial display-system experience. Practical enterprise IP camera, NVR and VMS commissioning skills, including integration of ONVIF-conformant devices. Experience with commercial video walls and their controllers. Working knowledge of multicast, IGMP, VLANs, PoE and video bandwidth calculations. Ability to troubleshoot integrated video systems and document testing and configurations.
