What if your next challenge consisted of knowing exactly where we are… where GPS is no longer enough? SBG Systems designs and manufactures high-precision inertial navigation technologies in France, used all over the world.

Our systems combine cutting-edge MEMS sensors, GNSS, and advanced data fusion algorithms to enable autonomous equipment to locate, orient, and navigate with extreme precision. Drones, ground robots, oceanographic vessels, aeronautics, space, or defense: our technologies operate where environments are hostile and where precision tolerates no approximation.

An independent French company, we make the strong choice to master our products from end to end: from fundamental research and software/hardware R&D to industrial production at our site. Present today in more than 70 countries, we equip the most demanding technological and industrial players on the planet.

Currently in hypergrowth, SBG Systems is scaling up with a major challenge: growing fast without ever compromising on the technological excellence, agility, and team spirit that make our difference.

This scaling takes place closest to the field: for our Field Application team, this implies supporting increasingly critical integration programs and building the cutting-edge expertise necessary to secure our customers' missions.

It is at the heart of this dynamic that we are strengthening our technical expertise hub dedicated to Defense and Autonomous Systems (UAV) applications.

Your role: Technical expertise at the service of the field and the product

Integrated within a team of 10 people reporting to Christophe, Customer Support Director, you join the Level 3 excellence hub alongside another seasoned senior expert. You become the application referent dedicated to complex integrations on aerial vectors and unmanned military systems:

Customer Expertise & Advanced Integration (N3): Advise and audit major integrators and defense drone manufacturers in the choice, interfacing, and optimization of their navigation architectures.

Autopilot & Navigation Integration: Resolve complex GNSS/Inertial coupling issues with autopilot software layers (PX4, ArduPilot, or equivalents).

Operational Interventions & Flight Testing: Participate in test benches, flight campaigns, and technical acceptance on customer sites.

(Occasional and targeted travel: 5 to 6 short missions per year, internationally).

Bridge with R&D & Qualification: Develop and manage evaluation campaigns for our new inertial units against severe scenarios (GNSS jamming/spoofing, contested environments) and express product evolution needs.

Transmission & Mentoring: Serve as the ultimate technical escalation point and actively support the skill development of our Level 2 support engineers.

The profile sought

You are a passion for aerial robotics and navigation, loving to combine the rigor of modeling with the reality of flight:

Education & Experience: Engineering degree (Master's level) in embedded systems, robotics, mechatronics, or automation, with about ten years of experience in a similar position (application engineering, drone systems integration, navigation/guidance).

Regulatory Framework: Position subject to a national Defense security clearance procedure.

Indispensable expertise: Mastery of positioning and orientation technologies: GNSS and inertial navigation (IMU / INS).

Proven experience in the military drones / tactical UAV ecosystem.

Operational practice of open-source or industrial autopilots (PX4, ArduPilot).

Data analysis tools and measurement processing (Python or Matlab).

Differentiating assets (highly appreciated): Solid notions in Dead Reckoning (in degraded/jammed GNSS environments).

Knowledge of complementary perception sensors (LiDAR, vision, SLAM).

Languages: Fluent English is imperative (daily international exchanges).

What we offer you Remuneration: Indicative package of €58,000 to €65,000 gross annual (depending on profile).

Value sharing: Particularly attractive profit-sharing agreement (PEE, PERECO...)

Framework & Flexibility: Targeted and planned international travel (5 to 6 short missions per year), preserving daily balance.

Flexibility of organization and occasional teleworking possible (activity remaining anchored on-site in contact with equipment, test benches, and the team).

Work environment: New and friendly premises in Carrières-sur-Seine with free access to a gym.

Cutting-edge test and simulation equipment, short hierarchy, and real autonomy.

Meal vouchers, active CSE, regular afterworks, and two company seminars per year.
