Licensed Plumber
The Licensed Plumber is responsible for providing statutory plumbing support, technical advisory services, and professional oversight of plumbing and water supply systems. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, supports maintenance and rectification works, and provides technical attendance for plumbing-related matters as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the appointed Licensed Plumber for plumbing works where required.
- Provide statutory certification, endorsement, and submission of plumbing works in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections of water supply, sanitary, drainage, and plumbing systems.
- Review and verify plumbing installations, repairs, modifications, and upgrading works.
- Provide technical guidance and support for maintenance teams and contractors on plumbing-related matters.
- Attend site inspections, investigations, and technical assessments when required.
- Ensure plumbing systems comply with relevant codes, standards, and statutory regulations.
- Support troubleshooting and rectification of plumbing defects and operational issues.
- Coordinate with contractors, authorities, consultants, and stakeholders on plumbing compliance matters.
- Maintain records, inspection reports, certifications, and statutory documentation.
Requirements
- Valid Licensed Plumber license issued by the relevant authority.
- NITEC, Higher NITEC, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Plumbing, Building Services, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in plumbing systems, water services, or building maintenance.
- Good knowledge of water supply, sanitary, drainage, and plumbing regulations.
- Experience supporting commercial, institutional, industrial, or government facilities will be advantageous.
- Able to provide technical attendance and statutory support on an off-site or advisory basis when required.
