About the Role Are you organised, proactive, and experienced in maintaining high standards across public areas in a fast-paced hospitality environment? As a Shift Leader of Public Area at Savaya, you will oversee the cleanliness, presentation, and day-to-day upkeep of the venue’s public spaces. You will guide the public area team during your shift, coordinate priorities, and help ensure guests and colleagues experience a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. This is an opportunity to contribute to premium hospitality operations in Bali while working closely with Housekeeping, Operations, Maintenance, and other venue teams. What You’ll Be Doing Lead and support public area team members during assigned shifts

Allocate duties and coordinate cleaning schedules according to operational needs

Inspect public areas to ensure cleanliness, presentation, and readiness for service

Oversee the upkeep of guest and staff areas, including entrances, walkways, washrooms, and shared spaces

Ensure cleaning tasks are completed in line with venue standards and procedures

Monitor the availability of cleaning supplies, equipment, and other required materials

Report maintenance issues, damage, hazards, and repair requirements to the relevant team

Respond promptly to guest or team requests relating to public area cleanliness and upkeep

Support the safe use, storage, and handling of cleaning products and equipment

Ensure team members follow health, safety, hygiene, and chemical-handling procedures

Provide on-the-job guidance and feedback to support consistent performance

Maintain shift handover notes and communicate outstanding tasks or operational concerns

Support opening, closing, event preparation, and post-event cleaning as required

Coordinate with Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Operations to address changing venue priorities

Perform other public area and hospitality responsibilities assigned by management

Could This Be You? Have previous experience in public area cleaning, housekeeping, or a related hospitality role

Have experience guiding colleagues or coordinating tasks during a shift

Have a strong eye for detail and take pride in maintaining clean, well-presented spaces

Are organised, dependable, and able to prioritise tasks in a busy environment

Communicate clearly and work well with colleagues across different departments

Are comfortable responding to changing operational needs and guest requests

Understand the importance of hygiene, health and safety, and correct cleaning procedures

Are confident providing clear instructions and supporting team members

Are physically able to stand, walk, bend, and carry cleaning equipment during a shift

Are comfortable working shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required

Have professional proficiency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage

It Would Be an Advantage If You Have Experience in a hotel, resort, beach club, restaurant, or other premium hospitality venue

Knowledge of public area cleaning standards, checklists, and inspection procedures

Experience with cleaning equipment, chemicals, and safe handling practices

Experience supporting events or high-volume venue operations

Training in workplace health and safety, hygiene, or housekeeping operations
