About the Role Are you energetic, reliable, and passionate about supporting an exceptional bar operation in a fast-paced hospitality environment? As a Barback at Savaya, you will support the Bar team by keeping work areas clean, organised, and fully stocked throughout service. You will help bartenders deliver efficient, consistent, and high-quality service while contributing to a smooth guest experience at one of Bali’s leading hospitality venues. This is an opportunity to develop your hospitality experience while working closely with the Bar, Operations, Stewarding, Procurement, and other venue teams. What You’ll Be Doing Support bartenders and bar team members during service
Keep bar stations, back bars, storage areas, and surrounding spaces clean and organised
Restock spirits, wines, beers, mixers, garnishes, glassware, ice, and other bar supplies
Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to the relevant team
Prepare and replenish garnishes, mixers, juices, and other service items as required
Collect, wash, polish, and organise glassware and bar equipment
Assist with the setup and breakdown of bar stations before and after service
Remove empty bottles, rubbish, and used items promptly and safely
Support the safe handling, storage, and movement of beverages, ice, equipment, and supplies
Help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the bar throughout service
Assist with deliveries, stock transfers, and storage according to venue procedures
Report damaged equipment, shortages, spills, hazards, and maintenance issues to the relevant team
Support bartenders with service preparation while maintaining awareness of guest and operational needs
Follow responsible alcohol service, food safety, hygiene, health and safety procedures
Support opening, closing, events, busy service periods, and other operational requirements
Perform other bar and hospitality responsibilities assigned by management
Could This Be You? Have previous experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel, beach club, or related hospitality role
Have a strong interest in beverages, bar operations, and guest service
Are energetic, dependable, and willing to support the team wherever needed
Take pride in maintaining clean, organised, and well-presented work areas
Are able to work efficiently and remain calm during busy service periods
Have good awareness of stock, equipment, and bar supply requirements
Communicate clearly and work well with bartenders and colleagues across different departments
Are proactive and able to respond to changing operational priorities
Understand the importance of hygiene, safe working practices, and responsible alcohol service
Are physically able to stand, walk, lift, carry, and work throughout a busy shift
Are comfortable working shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required
Have professional proficiency in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage
It Would Be an Advantage If You Have Experience in a premium restaurant, hotel, resort, beach club, nightclub, or high-volume bar
Basic knowledge of spirits, cocktails, wine, beer, and other beverage categories
Experience preparing garnishes, mixers, juices, or other bar ingredients
Familiarity with bar equipment, glassware, stock handling, and storage procedures
Experience supporting events, high-volume service, or premium hospitality operations
Training in food safety, hygiene, responsible alcohol service, or workplace health and safety
