Biomedical Engineer

Install, operate, calibrate, test, and maintain medical devices and equipment to ensure proper and efficient performance.

Perform preventive, periodic, and corrective maintenance on medical equipment.

Diagnose technical malfunctions and carry out the necessary repairs promptly to minimize equipment downtime.

Conduct electrical safety and functional performance tests on medical equipment in accordance with approved procedures and standards.

Monitor equipment performance and ensure continuous accuracy and operational efficiency.

Train medical and technical staff on the proper and safe use of medical devices and equipment.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of maintenance activities, malfunctions, repairs, warranties, and spare parts for each device.

Monitor the availability of spare parts and maintenance supplies and coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers when required.

Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to perform specialized maintenance and complex repairs.

Ensure that all medical devices and equipment comply with applicable safety, quality, and local and international regulatory standards.

Follow up on equipment maintenance contracts and warranties and ensure that all services are performed according to schedule.

Assist in the evaluation, installation, commissioning, and technical acceptance of new medical equipment.

Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related field.

1–3 years of hands-on experience in hospital or medical equipment supplier settings.

Strong technical knowledge of diagnostic, therapeutic, and life-support equipment.

Solid understanding of electrical safety and calibration standards in healthcare.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
