Contracts Engineer
Your tasks
- Prepare, review, and assist in the negotiation of engineering and construction contracts.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and legal requirements across project activities.
- Prepare, issue, and track contractual letters and notices in accordance with the contract’s time-bar provisions.
Claims & Dispute Management
- Support the preparation and management of Extension of Time (EOT), variation, and financial claims.
- Assist in the analysis of contractual disputes and contribute to dispute resolution processes, including support for arbitration where required.
Advisory & Compliance
- Provide contractual advice to project teams and management.
- Assist in assessing contractual risks and support informed decision-making.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Adherence to contractual timelines and notice periods.
- Quality and accuracy of claims documentation and contractual correspondence.
- Contribution to the reduction of contractual risks and improved claims outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in contract management within engineering, oil & gas or construction projects.
- Working knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international contractual standards.
- Experience in claims management and dispute resolution support.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Professional certifications in contracts or construction law are an advantage.
