Become part of our Data Platforms Team as a Senior Expert Snowflake (x|w|m) and help shape the future of our company-wide data landscape and support our mission "Simplifying Progress". You will act as a central interface between business stakeholders, architects, and engineering teams to further develop scalable data platforms, strengthen data governance, and enable data-driven decisions throughout the company. Through cross-functional and cross-regional collaboration, platform excellence, continuous improvement, and sustainable business value are promoted to enable better health for more people. The position is to be filled at the Göttingen or Madrid location with the possibility of working remotely on some days per week.

• Defining and further developing the Snowflake platform roadmap in alignment with the company-wide data strategy and business priorities
• Establishing the platform vision as well as managing priorities, requirement gathering, and business requirements to maximize business value and support strategic goals
• Driving data management initiatives to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance with company-wide data governance principles
• Defining standards for data modeling, security, data quality, and platform usage, as well as promoting best practices in Snowflake development and platform operations
• Driving the introduction of data products, self-service analytics functions, and modern data practices in the business departments
• Establishing responsibility models for data products, business domains, and platform functions to strengthen accountability and sustainable governance
• Identifying optimization potential in data-related processes as well as increasing operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives
• Analyzing complex datasets and deriving actionable recommendations to support data-based business decisions
• Collaborating with Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR, IT, and other stakeholders to develop business-oriented data solutions and successfully implement platform initiatives
• Coordinating activities between Data Engineers, architects, and business users as well as managing dependencies to Azure Data Platform, SAP BW, SAP Datasphere, and other corporate systems

What you bring with you

• Successfully completed studies in Data Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in the areas of Data Management, data platforms, process optimization, and project management in complex corporate environments
• Extensive experience in the design, implementation, and further development of modern data platforms based on Snowflake, Microsoft Azure, and related cloud technologies
• Sound knowledge in Enterprise Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, data products, data modeling, data quality, master data management, and Data Governance
• Strong expertise in data integration, ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, SQL, Python, as well as modern DataOps and CI/CD practices
• Experience in analyzing complex datasets and deriving sound recommendations for business questions
• Deep understanding of continuous improvement principles as well as data-driven approaches for the sustainable optimization of processes and operational efficiency
• Experience in agile working methods as well as in cross-functional collaboration with business stakeholders, architecture, and engineering teams
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills as well as the ability to convey complex matters in a target-group-oriented manner
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented way of working
• Business fluent English skills
