Scientist Application Development (x|w|m) (Biologist/Biologist)

In our Application Development team for laboratory filtration in Göttingen, you will help transform scientific challenges into practical solutions. As a Scientist Application Development (x|w|m), you will bridge customer requirements with internal innovation and product development activities. By generating application-relevant data, evaluating laboratory and bioprocess workflows, and implementing scientific projects, you will support the further development of our filtration portfolio and create added value for our customers. In doing so, you will work closely with customers, Product Management, Product Development, and scientific expert teams, supporting innovations in established and new bioprocess applications. The position is located in Göttingen, to be filled full-time (40 hours/week), and includes international travel of approximately 20%.

• Conduct experiments, technical tasks, and defined work packages in the field of laboratory filtration and bioprocess applications
• Analyze experimental data and document scientific results within agreed timeframes
• Interpret results and adapt technical approaches based on experimental findings
• Propose experiments within defined projects and support their implementation to address customer requirements and support priorities in product, application, and technology development
• Contribute scientific expertise to the evaluation of laboratory and bioprocess workflows, including new modalities such as the downstream processing of mRNA and LNP
• Collaborate with customers, scientists, and cross-functional stakeholders to translate application requirements into experimental approaches and align them with product development priorities
• Translate experimental results and customer insights into application-related recommendations and development activities within defined projects
• Support and accompany less experienced colleagues in projects within your own field of expertise

What you bring with you

• PhD or Master's degree with several years of relevant professional experience, or Bachelor's degree with extensive relevant professional experience
• Proven expertise in a scientific or technical field related to laboratory filtration, bioprocessing, biotechnology, biochemistry, biology, chemistry, or a related field
• Experience in planning and conducting experiments as well as in the analysis and interpretation of scientific data
• Sound understanding of laboratory and bioprocess workflows, ideally in the field of filtration and/or chromatography
• Ability to identify scientific challenges and solve problems in a structured and fact-based manner
• Strong communication and cooperation skills in interdisciplinary teams and customer-oriented environments
• Ability to pass on knowledge and support the development of less experienced colleagues
• Very good English skills
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 20%)
