Locations:
Located in the heart of Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, Rakas Restaurant & Bar charms with its unique atmosphere and a menu prepared with a modern touch using fresh local ingredients. We offer our visitors a unique dining experience and are passionate about ensuring high-quality dining under the warm light of lantern lamps and elegant decor. Our restaurant's name is Rakas, which means "beloved" in Finnish and perfectly describes our concept of what good food should be - local food made with love.
SantaPark - Santa Claus' home cave is an indoor Christmas-themed park full of activities, attractions, and experiences. One of the most important highlights is Kota Café, where customers can enjoy a delicious buffet lunch, as well as the charming Piparila, which smells and feels like Christmas while Gingerbread Grandma is baking our delicious Christmas treats, gingerbreads. We ensure that visitors can spend the whole day in the park with full stomachs! The kitchen team ensures unique dining experiences by creating delicious food portions. Their professionalism, ingredient knowledge, and consistency significantly enhance the customers' dining experience.
The duties of a pastry chef include:
Baking cakes, pies, and other treats
Preparation of pastries
Developing recipes
Ensuring that all pastries and desserts are visually appealing and beautifully presented
Serving desserts and quality control
Adapting to special requests
Monitoring food costs and waste
Inventory management and ordering
Compliance with safety instructions
Maintaining kitchen cleanliness
Compliance with orders and regulations
General requirements:
Hygiene Pass
Kitchen skills and competence
Previous experience in a similar role (at least 3 years)
Suitable educational background
Fluent English language skills
Ability to work legally in Finland
Ability to perform tasks independently as well as work in a team
Ability to take responsibility and maintain the highest standard of quality
Problem-solving skills and being self-directed
Good communication skills

Flexible working hours from Monday to Sunday with rotating days off
Average working time 90 h/3 weeks, during the season the amount is usually higher
