Our client is a Belgian company specialised in integrating and implementing software solutions at its clients’ sites, recognised for its strong presence among demanding organisations.

What makes it stand out? A portfolio of strategic accounts backed by a framework contract recently renewed for six years, giving it rare visibility over its projects and its teams.

Your tasks

Lead the implementation of software solutions at external clients, across functional scoping, run and upgrade projects.

Its activity combines run, ticketing and upgrade projects on heavily customised application platforms, deployed and maintained at the client’s site.

As it grows, the company is strengthening its delivery management team and is looking for a senior Project Manager IT with a background in software integration.

The job

• Reporting to the practice lead, you take operational ownership of several client accounts and the implementation projects attached to them.
• You manage the relationship between the client, the internal teams and an external technical partner, while keeping a firm grip on the functional content of the projects.

• Manage the budgets, deadlines and contractual commitments of your accounts.
• Work with the business analyst on scoping client needs: challenge requests, measure them against the platform’s capabilities and decide which customisations to retain.
• Steer the external partner delivering the technical teams, and coordinate exchanges between client, partner and internal teams.
• Follow up on run and ticketing, and lead upgrade and evolution projects.
• Identify contractual, budgetary and operational risks, and bring the trade-offs to the client.

Requirements

• Senior experience on the vendor side — with an integrator, a software vendor or a consultancy — implementing software solutions at external clients.
• Comfortable with the functional side of projects: you understand the solutions you deploy and can challenge an analysis or a specification rather than only coordinate. A background in functional analysis is an asset.
• Fluent English is essential; administrative rigour, diplomacy and political judgement when dealing with demanding clients.
