RESEARCH ENGINEER / ASSISTANT RESEARCH ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities – Research & Development ·      Conduct research and development of advancedconstruction materials, including sustainable and innovative solutions ·      Assist in experimental design, data analysis,and interpretation of research outcomes ·       Assist in drafting proposal for tendersubmission and securing research fund Laboratory Testing &Technical Services ·       Performlaboratory and field testing in accordance with relevant standards andspecifications ·      Conduct material characterization andperformance evaluation ·       Prepareaccurate and timely test reports for submission to client Client and CommercialSupport ·       Preparequotations and invoices for testing services ·      Liaise with clients to clarify technicalrequirements and ensure service delivery ·       Providetechnical support related to testing services Quality Assurance &Compliance ·       Assistin maintaining and complying with SAC-SINGLASaccreditation requirements ·       Ensureadherence to laboratory protocols, safety standards, and documentationrequirements Knowledge Sharing &Representation ·       Assistin hosting and engaging visitors at Samwoh Smart Hub ·       Supportknowledge dissemination within the organization General Responsibilities ·       Performany other duties as assigned by management, in alignment with organizationalobjectives (a)        Under the WSH Act, employees have aduty to keep their workplace and colleagues safe: ·           Cooperate with employers and followsafety and health procedure; ·           Report unsafe acts and incidents; ·           Do not tamper with safety devices orperform wilful or reckless acts; and (b)       Beresponsible for any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to timeas your superior/management deems fit. Preferred Qualification & Skills ·       Degreein Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or related disciplines. MinimumDiploma in Engineering for Assistant role. ·      Knowledge of pavement materials orconstruction materials testing ·      Experience with laboratory and field testingstandards (e.g., ASTM, EN, AASHTO) ·      Strong analytical, reporting, andcommunication skills ·       Abilityto work independently and in a multidisciplinary team
