Business Lawyer - Compliance (m/f/d) (Jurist/in)

For the Legal & Compliance department, we are looking for you at the earliest possible date as a
Compliance Officer (w/m/d) at our location in Mülheim an der Ruhr.
- Advising management, executives, and employees on all compliance-relevant issues as well as acting as the central contact person for compliance topics
- Further development of the Compliance Management System as well as controlling the implementation of regulatory requirements, risk-mitigating processes, measures, and guidelines within the corporate group
- Conception and implementation of training, communication, and awareness measures to promote a sustainable compliance culture
- Support and further development of the whistleblower system as well as processing of compliance matters
- Independent management of and participation in national and international projects related to compliance, including the preparation of reports and decision templates for management and relevant committees
- Cooperation with Group Audit in the identification, assessment, and monitoring of compliance risks as well as supporting audit examinations
- Depending on the professional focus, taking on the function of the Data Protection Officer, including data protection legal advice, or supporting the specialist departments and subsidiaries in day-to-day legal business, particularly in national and international contract law matters
- Successfully completed second legal state examination (zweites juristisches Staatsexamen) as well as several years of professional experience in the areas of Compliance, Risk Management, Data Protection, or business law legal advice
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks (including corruption and money laundering prevention, supply chain due diligence, as well as antitrust and competition law) and willingness to continuously familiarize yourself with new regulatory requirements
- Ideally certification in the field of Compliance and/or Data Protection
- Proficient use of MS Office as well as business fluent English skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, initiative, integrity, communication strength, and teamwork skills, as well as a confident appearance in an international environment
