Description of the position
Curious about how a global outdoor brand transforms its supply chain planning processes? Interested in participating in the implementation of a new supply planning tool (APS – Advanced Planning System)? Looking for an opportunity to combine supply chain operations, business analysis, and transformation projects in an international environment?
We are looking for a Supply Planning Digital Transformation Intern to join the Softgoods Supply Planning team and support the implementation of our future APS solution (o9). Working at the intersection of business processes, digital transformation, and supply chain operations, you will contribute to shaping how supply planners balance worldwide demand & production capacity while limiting inventory coverage.
You will collaborate with Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Sourcing, Merchandising, IT teams and external partners, from the preparation of the design phase (defining how the tool should work) to the transition into the build phase (when it is configured).
Main responsibilities
APS implementation & supply planning transformation – support the business team throughout the implementation phases Maintain a structured repository of supply planning processes, business rules and glossary documentation, used as reference materials during the project Participate in the functional design workshops alongside the business team, to build an in-depth understanding of the future solution and of the design decisions taken Help translate business needs into user stories, the standard format used to describe requirements to the project team Compare business needs with what the tool can do, and document the gaps identified and the solutions found Keep a clear link between business needs, the way they are designed in the tool, and the tests that will validate them
Supply planning operational support – understanding how planners work today is what will allow you to contribute meaningfully to the design of tomorrow's tools and processes Work alongside supply planners on day-to-day topics: production plan build and updates, alignment between demand, supply and inventory objectives Contribute to ad-hoc analyses supporting supply planning review and operational decision making within the S&OP process Support the monitoring of supply chain performance and operational KPIs Help identify supply, capacity, inventory or delivery risks, and understand how planners arbitrate them
What you will learn

Supply Planning within a global supply chain environment S&OP (Sales Operations & Planning) and operational planning processes How a planning tool implementation is run in practice: design workshops, user stories, build and testing How business processes are challenged, redesigned and translated into a digital planning solution Data analysis and decision support tools

Location: Annecy, France Starting Date: January 2027 Duration: 6 months Full-time internship, with internship agreement required
Education : Master's degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Analytics, or related fields.

Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset Ability to understand complex business processes and contribute to their documentation in a clear and structured way Interest in supply chain planning, digital transformation, business systems and data analytics Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently while interacting with multiple stakeholders Rigour, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Tools :
Advanced Excel proficiency required Interest in data structures and data quality topics Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) is a plus Previous exposure to ERP (e.g. SAP), APS, or planning systems is an advantage
Languages:
English: fluent – main language of the team and the site French: C1 minimum – used daily

Administrative conditions:
This internship is covered by a tripartite training agreement (convention de stage) between you, your school, and the company. Applicants who are EU nationals can apply without any specific formality . Compensation: At Salomon, internship allowances are broken down as follows: Internship allowances: High school diploma to bachelor's degree: €700 gross
Master's degree: €950 gross
Doctorate: €1,200 gross Housing allowance: €300 housing assistance upon presentation of a lease agreement for a property located within 50 km of the head office and monthly receipts. ________________
