Trader (Dry Bulk Commodities)

Salling Search is currently recruiting for a Trader (Dry Bulk Commodities) for an established international trading company based in Singapore.

This role suits a commercially minded professional with experience in commodity trading, dry bulk, shipping or international trade who wants to take on broader trading responsibilities in a global environment, with long-term career development potential.

Responsibilities

• Support and expand existing trading activities by managing customer relationships to enhance business outcomes
• Identify and evaluate new commercial and trading opportunities across assigned markets to drive growth
• Participate in pricing strategies, negotiate terms, and finalize commercial agreements to secure profitable deals
• Monitor market developments, including supply and demand trends, freight movements, and competitor activities to inform trading decisions
• Coordinate with operations, shipping, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient trade execution
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and business partners to foster collaboration and trust
• Conduct commercial and market analysis to provide actionable insights supporting trading strategies
• Contribute to regional business growth by identifying and leveraging market opportunities

Requirements

• Relevant experience within dry bulk commodities, physical trading, shipping, or international trade
• Strong commercial awareness demonstrated by applying market knowledge to trading activities
• Good understanding of international trade principles and commercial negotiation techniques
• Strong communication skills to effectively manage relationships with diverse stakeholders
• Analytical and proactive approach to work in a fast-paced international trading environment
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with regional and global stakeholders
