Salling Search is recruiting a Handy Broker for a growing shipbroking firm in Singapore to source cargo and vessels, provide market insights, and grow business relationships in the Handysize segment.
Responsibilities
- Source and fix cargo and vessels within the Handysize dry bulk segment to meet client needs
- Build and maintain strong, outcome-driven relationships with shipowners and charterers to secure business opportunities
- Monitor and analyze market developments and freight trends to inform strategic decisions
- Provide actionable freight intelligence and commercial insights to support business growth and decision-making
- Collaborate with senior brokers to enhance team commercial performance and contribute to revenue targets
- Develop and expand a personal book of business through proactive client engagement and market outreach
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of experience in dry bulk shipbroking with direct exposure to the Handysize segment
- Established network of shipowners and charterers with a solid understanding of freight market dynamics
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced broking environment with a commercial and relationship-driven approach
