Accountant

What will be your purpose?
You will be responsible for validating, recording, and generating accounting, financial, tax, and payroll information for a portfolio of clients, ensuring that deliverables are prepared within the established timelines and in accordance with the Normas de Información Financiera and applicable tax provisions. You will work under the supervision of the BPS team, with active participation in the integration, analysis, and preparation of financial information for our clients.
What will you do in this position?
- Request and follow up on the required accounting and financial information from clients.
- Review that invoices, proof of payment, and other documents comply with the corresponding tax requirements.
- Organize and validate the documentary support of accounting operations.
- Record operations in CONTPAQi, determining the applicable accounting accounts and policies.
- Prepare layouts for information uploading and classify operations into journal, income, and expense policies.
- Prepare integrations and analyze movements in accounting accounts.
- Identify inconsistencies and perform necessary corrections to ensure the reasonableness of the figures.
- Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with the applicable Normas de Información Financiera.
- Integrate working papers and deliverables for review by the supervisor or manager.
- Participate in the calculation of taxes for legal entities (personas morales) and payroll processes.
- Support procedures and requirements before SAT, IMSS, Tesorería, and other authorities.
- Prepare information for auditors, tax advisors, transfer pricing specialists, and other external consultants.
- Provide timely follow-up to the accounting and financial requirements of clients.
What do you need to join?
Bachelor's degree in Contaduría Pública. Intern or graduated Intermediate English
Professional experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience in general accounting.
- At least 2 years of experience in processes related to taxes for legal entities (personas morales).
- Experience in preparing accounting records, account integrations, and financial reports.
- Desirable experience in an accounting firm, office, or professional services company.
Technical knowledge
- General accounting.
- Normas de Información Financiera.
- Preparation and analysis of financial statements.
- Calculation of taxes for legal entities (personas morales).
- Payroll calculation.
- Accounting records in foreign currency.
- Recording of imports and exports.
- Payments abroad.
- Inventory management and control.
- Handling of CONTPAQi.
- Desirable knowledge of AdminPAQ, CONTPAQi Nóminas, or SAP.
- Advanced Excel.
