Job classification: P2043 - Project Coordinator Salary range: $100,000 - $115,000 Placement within the range is typically based upon a review of skills, experience, and internal equity. The ITS Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, execution, and delivery of technology infrastructure and technology-enabled facility projects across the institution. The role manages multiple concurrent projects associated with new building construction, major renovations, campus expansions, and enterprise technology deployments.
Working closely with Facilities Management, consultants, contractors, academic and administrative stakeholders, and Information Technology Services teams, the position ensures the successful delivery of network infrastructure, telecommunications systems, audio/visual technologies, digital signage, classroom technologies, and endpoint computing solutions.
The role is accountable for achieving project objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, stakeholder satisfaction, and operational readiness while ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and industry best practices.

How you'll contribute Project Planning and Delivery
Leads the planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of technology projects.
Develops project charters, schedules, resource plans, risk registers, communication plans, and implementation strategies.
Supports ITS project governance by maintaining visibility of project schedules, dependencies, resource requirements, risks and priorities across assigned initiatives, and escalates conflicts or constraints requiring leadership decisions
Construction and Capital Project Coordination
Represents ITS on new construction and renovation initiatives.
Coordinates technology requirements with architects, consultants, contractors, Facilities Management, and project teams to ensure technology infrastructure is incorporated into project designs and delivered on schedule.
Technology Infrastructure Implementation
Coordinates deployment of wired and wireless networking, telecommunications, audio/visual systems, digital signage, classroom technology, and staff/student computing solutions.
Ensures technology solutions meet operational, security, and institutional standards.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communications
Builds relationships with academic departments, administrative business units, project sponsors, ITS teams, and external partners.
Provides project reporting, status updates, issue management, and executive briefings.
Vendor, Consultant, and Contract Management
Coordinates procurement activities, evaluates vendor deliverables, monitors contract performance, manages project dependencies, and ensures vendors and consultants meet project obligations.
Budget, Risk, and Change Management
Monitors project budgets, forecasts expenditures, manages risks and issues, coordinates formal change requests, and ensures effective governance and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation, Transition, and Operational Readiness
Ensures project documentation, project reporting, as-built records, support documentation, training materials, and operational handoff requirements are completed to support long-term sustainability of technology services.
What you bring Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
7+ years of experience in project management.
Experience delivering enterprise technology infrastructure projects.
Experience supporting new construction, capital projects, renovations, or facility-related technology deployments.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with significant budgets and complex stakeholder groups.
Experience working with consultants, contractors, and technology vendors.
Experience preparing business cases, project reporting, governance materials, and executive communications.
Experience managing project risks, budgets, schedules, and procurement activities.
Experience in vendor and contract management, budget management, financial analysis, and negotiation.
One or more of the following designations would be an asset:
PRINCE2 Practitioner
Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
ITIL Foundation or higher
Certified Technology Specialist (CTS)
Prosci Change Management Certification
Relevant network, telecommunications, cloud, or infrastructure certifications
