Position: CCTV & Security Systems Technician / Site Supervisor Company: Saint 7 International Pte Ltd Location: Singapore Employment: Full-time

1. Main Responsibilities

CCTV & Security Systems

• Install, configure and commission IP and analogue CCTV systems.
• Install NVR/DVR, network switches, PoE switches, monitors and related equipment.
• Configure IP addresses, cameras, recording settings and remote viewing.
• Understand ONVIF, RTSP, PoE and basic networking .
• Carry out CCTV troubleshooting, maintenance and fault finding.
• Install and support:AI video analyticsLPR/ANPRAccess controlIntercom systemsVideo doorbellsAlarm systemsVideo management systemsNetwork equipment.

2. Electrical Knowledge

Candidate should have practical knowledge of basic electrical works, including:

• 230V electrical supply and basic electrical safety.
• Power points and equipment power requirements.
• Cable routing and containment.
• Conduit, trunking and cable tray installation.
• Cat6/network cable installation.
• Termination and testing.
• Basic electrical fault identification.
• UPS and power-backup systems.
• Understanding of earthing and surge protection.

Important: Where regulated electrical work requires a licensed electrical worker, the employee should work under the appropriate licensed person rather than independently carrying out restricted electrical work.

3. Site Supervision

The employee should be able to act as Site Supervisor / Project Lead for smaller projects. Responsibilities include:

• Conduct site surveys.
• Understand drawings and CCTV layouts.
• Determine camera locations and coverage.
• Prepare basic material and equipment lists.
• Coordinate installers and subcontractors.
• Monitor installation quality.
• Ensure work follows approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct testing and commissioning.
• Prepare defect lists and rectification reports.
• Take before/after photographs.
• Conduct client handover.
• Train customers on basic system operation.

4. Technical Documentation

The candidate should be able to prepare basic:

• Site survey reports
• CCTV camera schedules
• Equipment lists
• Installation checklists
• Test & commissioning reports
• As-built drawings
• Maintenance reports
• Quotation information
• Project progress reports.

5. Presentation & Marketing Skills

This is important for Saint 7 because the employee will also support sales. Candidate should be comfortable with:

• PowerPoint presentations.
• Canva or similar presentation tools.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Preparing simple product presentations.
• Demonstrating CCTV and AI analytics to customers.
• Explaining technical solutions in simple language.
• Conducting basic product demonstrations.
• Supporting exhibitions and roadshows.
• Taking photographs/videos of completed projects.
• Preparing simple marketing content for LinkedIn/Facebook/WhatsApp.
• Visiting potential customers together with the BDM.
• Identifying potential CCTV/AI/security technology opportunities.

6. Customer-Facing Skills

The person should be able to:

• Meet building managers, MCST representatives and business owners.
• Conduct a professional site survey.
• Understand the customer's security problems.
• Explain proposed solutions.
• Demonstrate AI CCTV features.
• Answer basic technical questions.
• Prepare information for quotations.
• Follow up on technical enquiries.
• Maintain good customer relationships.

7. Minimum Qualifications

Essential:

• 2–5 years' experience in CCTV/security system installation.
• Practical experience with IP CCTV.
• Basic networking knowledge.
• Experience with NVR/DVR and PoE.
• Ability to use basic electrical/testing tools.
• Ability to supervise installation works.
• Class 3 driving licence would be advantageous.
• Able to work at heights when required.
• Able to work independently.

• Access control experience.
• LPR/ANPR experience.
• AI video analytics experience.
• VMS experience.
• Structured cabling experience.
• Electrical installation experience.
• Experience with Hikvision/Dahua/Axis or similar systems.
• Experience with ONVIF/RTSP.
• Experience in security industry.
• Presentation or sales experience.
