Product Engineer & Inertial Navigation Customer Support M/F

About the company

Within the Navigation Product Engineering Center (CIPN), you will join the team specialized in performing demonstrations of inertial navigation products for naval military platforms (a military ship, submarine, or other). This team is composed of experienced engineers and technicians who are responsible for representing Safran to our customers.

Your tasks

After training on our inertial platforms and the external sensors used by our products (speed log, GNSS receiver), you will be responsible for missions at our customers' sites worldwide as part of R&D programs for inertial products for defense-related applications for the navy.

Missions on a target platform aim to:

• prepare the integration of the inertial platform (mechanical layout and electrical interface surveys.)
• perform pre-sales demonstration tests
• provide integration support on the target platform (calibration, alignment, navigation tests.)
• train customer operators

Requirements

Engineer with strong motivation for international missions, a taste for field work, and customer contact. You have skills in electronics or electrotechnics and possess knowledge in mechanical integration and computer science. You are recognized for your autonomy, interpersonal skills, and sense of customer relations.

Experience abroad is appreciated and proficiency in English is indispensable to succeed in this position.

The duration of missions can vary from a few days to several weeks. You will be autonomous in the planning and preparation of missions.
