Must-have:Security
Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. or equivalent experience.
Work site environment:
Socio-economic needs or conditions (housing, nutrition, unemployment, financial assistance). Services for the homeless. Bereavement issues.
Work setting:
Community agency. Various locations. Social service or charity agency. Shelter for the homeless.
Tasks:
- Prepare reports or case histories.
- Appraise clients' needs or eligibility for specific services.
- Perform administrative tasks.
- Housekeeping activities.
- Resolve conflict situations.
- Liaise with other social services agencies and health care providers involved with clients.
- Assist clients/guests with special needs.
- Manage events.
- Offer mentoring.
Supervision:
No supervision responsibility.
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses :
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST).
- Mental health first aid Certificate.
- First Aid Certificate.
- CPR Certificate.
