LLM Java Developer

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain reliable Java-based software components. Build scalable backend systems that support AI and language-model applications. Contribute to AI model evaluation and performance improvement workflows. Evaluate AI-generated responses using defined quality and technical criteria. Provide clear technical explanations and feedback on evaluation results. Support supervised fine-tuning (SFT) and related AI training activities where required. Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and other technical contributors on AI projects. Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues. Develop secure, stable, readable, and maintainable code. Contribute to the design and delivery of new product features.

Requirements:

Strong professional experience with Java . Good understanding of Java syntax, conventions, and software development principles. Experience developing software and actively participating in code reviews. Strong written and spoken English communication skills. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

Experience with AI or Large Language Model (LLM) projects. Experience with AI model evaluation or training workflows. Software Quality Assurance experience. Test planning or Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience. Experience working with backend systems or APIs. Familiarity with SFT, RLHF, or other AI training methodologies.

Work Commitment

Candidates should be available for one of the following schedules:

20 hours per week 30 hours per week 40 hours per week

Remuneration: NGN  650,000 monthly
