Technical Support Engineer

Your role

In this role, you will work with deviations that arise at the customer, in local own production, or with subcontractors. You are responsible for performing technical assessments and deciding how deviations on the product should be rectified. You work closely with quality and production to find the most cost-effective solution. Most deviations occur in our own workshop located in Linköping, Tannefors. The work also involves providing suggestions on how production can be improved to prevent errors in the future.

The work involves many contact surfaces with specialists in design, material and process, strength, among others. You will become part of a cohesive team of approximately 15-20 people, where experience meets new perspectives. Together, you create a learning environment where knowledge exchange, collaboration, and development are in focus.

The role involves great responsibility as you make technical decisions that affect the product's flight safety. You are visible and in demand within the organization and you will gain a large network. Decisions are documented in English because we have international customers and suppliers.

Your profile

We are looking for you who are a recent graduate or you who have already worked for a few years as an engineer and enjoy networking!

To thrive in the role, we would like you to be communicative, cooperative, and unpretentious as a person, while also having great personal integrity since quality must not be neglected. You have constructive thinking and are stimulated by collaborating with staff within your own and within other departments/sections.

We would like you to have:

• An engineering education at university level or equivalent with a focus on mechanics, design, strength, and preferably with a few years of experience.
• Experience in production technical work or work in production.
• Good knowledge of English is a prerequisite because oral and written communication takes place in English, and a large part of our documentation is in English.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the security protection regulations applicable at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
