System Engineer CAMO

Your role

In the section and in this position, one works closely with operational activities regarding flight safety, optimized availability, and cost-effectiveness for the aircraft fleets in Sweden's defense and Saab's export countries. At the CAMO and Logistic Services department, every task is part of ensuring continuous airworthiness. As a system engineer within CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness Management Organization), you will work with technical documentation, updates of aircraft maintenance, and support for our internal and external customers regarding their materiel systems. Our largest business partner is Försvarsmakten, and on their behalf, the section performs maintenance planning as well as operational and configuration updates for, among other things, aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aerial systems.

The internal and external interfaces are many, and information management from several complex and technically advanced systems is everyday life for the teams. Furthermore, one works, among other things, with support to users of the systems and participates in various development projects linked to Saab's export business. The section develops and conducts training within the Fleet Management systems Fenix, AMMS, and AMOS.

The position includes some travel, primarily domestic, but international travel may also become relevant in the long term.

The section currently consists of 18 people who are geographically dispersed across Sweden, yet work in close cooperation within the group.

To succeed and thrive in the position, we see that you have a University or college education, preferably an Aeronautical Engineering education. Alternatively, a high school education, for example in aircraft or helicopter technology, combined with a few years of work experience.

Furthermore, you will also need to have good knowledge of English, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

Experience of aircraft maintenance in a role such as technician, system engineer, or production planner Education and/or experience of working with maintenance planning Experience regarding the interpretation of maintenance directives and regulations EMAR, ICAO, IATA, and EASA in a role as system engineer/planning engineer within CAMO. Documented experience of other work regarding continuous airworthiness.

The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the security protection regulations applicable at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
