Production Technician focusing on mechanics & hydraulics

Your role
As a production technician, you have a central role in our development process of new products, where you are involved throughout the entire chain, from early projects to after-market. You work in close collaboration with our development engineers to review documentation and contribute your technical expertise, ensuring that design and drawing documentation are met in an efficient and correct manner.
Your responsibility includes solving preparation and quality assurance based on drawings, as well as setting up the production methods and the test equipment needed for a successful production. When the product reaches the series phase, the role transitions into a more supporting function where you work with ongoing efficiency improvements and analyses of manufacturing methods.
Your tasks will include, among others:
Development and evaluation of manufacturing processes Documentation of test results, deviations, and improvement suggestions Maintenance and handling of tools and equipment Collaboration with design and engineering teams to optimize product development Preparation of production documentation Control preparation
In our machining workshop, we manufacture high-quality hydraulic products for defense and aerospace. Here, we work with turning, milling, and grinding in everything from aluminum to titanium, and also handle processes such as heat treatment, surface treatment, and OFP. In the assembly department, the products are completed, ranging from simple mechanical assembly to the assembly of advanced hydraulic systems with extreme requirements for precision.

To succeed in the role, we believe you have:
Good knowledge of reading drawings and technical documentation. Relevant work experience with a good understanding of manufacturing methods. Experience working in MPS-systems. Good knowledge of English.
It is meritorious if you have:
Experience with CAD software. Experience with the business system IFS. Knowledge of hydraulic systems.
The position requires that you undergo and be approved according to the currently applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance classification, this may, where applicable, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
