*About the Role*

The *Senior Accountant* supports financial reporting, manages accounts payable and procurement software, ensures compliance with accounting standards, and assists with month-end and year-end processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their skills and grow their career in a fast-paced, expanding organization.

*Key Responsibilities (but not limited to):*

• Review invoices, compare to PO?s and import to accounting software
• Assist accounts payable manager with month end reconciliations and invoice entry when necessary.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity
• Upload data from multiple software?s to our accounting software
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Assist with monthly remittances (HST, QST, union remittances)
• Support software system maintenance and improvements
• Comfortable in a changing ad hoc environment with a large range of responsibilities
• Ad hoc tasks to support the finance department.

*Qualifications*

• Formal degree with a focus in Accounting
• 2-3 years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Comfortable working with multiple software platforms
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

*Preferred Skills*

• Experience in construction or project-based businesses.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools, specifically Jonas or Service Titan.
