O&M Concept Expert - Implementation d/w/m (Engineer - Shipbuilding and Marine Technology)

This position acts as a competence center for supporting projects from the Final Investment Decision (FID) to the successful Commercial Operation Date (COD). You will support the regional implementation teams in their approach, provide guidance on specific topics, and ensure that the regional teams adhere to the prescribed implementation approach.

The Role

• Act as a subject matter expert for the specific phase of O&M projects between FID and COD and manage the standardized FID-to-COD process together with the regions
• Support the processes developed in the Bid-FID phase to enable an efficient project transfer to the region; including the consideration of standard assumptions
• Responsibility for standardized project reporting between FID and COD to enable transparent and efficient control and decision-making within the region or, if applicable, within the fleet
• Ensuring continuous exchange between the O&M project teams to maintain a continuous feedback loop into the process landscape and the documentation database
• Supporting the Implementation Managers and their teams in setting up the respective project after handover to the region and taking over the role as SPOC for regular updates
• Identifying lessons learned as well as areas for development within the department and determining (savings) potential, including maintenance of the Lessons-Learned database

Your Profile

• Completed technical training (preferably with a focus on project management), alternatively a university degree in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent training
• Professional experience and demonstrable success in the operation and/or construction of offshore wind farms, particularly between the Final Investment Decision (FID) and the Commercial Operation Date (COD)
• Experience in process optimization and/or management
• Open and team-oriented with the ability to work across projects and regions
• High integrity and reliability as well as a proactive, reliable, and structured way of working
• Strong interest in operational workflows and processes as well as technical functions
• Willingness to travel within RWE Offshore Wind
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
