Who we are looking for We are looking for, effective immediately, as part of direct recruitment for our client in Ratingen, a

Your tasks

• You will independently manage several companies and ensure proper accounting in accordance with HGB
• You will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB as well as IFRS reporting
• You will perform balance sheet and P&L analyses for the British parent company and reconcile and monitor all balance sheet accounts
• Your tasks also include the posting of expense reports, the execution of payment runs, as well as the posting of wages and salaries
• You will perform intercompany reconciliations and document them
• In Corporate Accounting, you will handle accounting issues and participate in consolidation processes
• You will manage subsidiaries and participate in company formations, mergers, liquidations, and restructurings
• In cooperation with tax advisors, you will prepare trade tax and corporate tax returns as well as VAT advance notifications, handle VAT-related issues, and support tax audits
• You will be the contact person for auditors and external service providers and support departments with accounting queries
• You will participate in digitalization and optimization projects, create and maintain process documentation, and support ERP implementations or system changes

What you bring to the role

• You have a successfully completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting, finance, or taxation and/or commercial training with further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
• At least five years of professional experience in accounting
• Ideally, you have already gained experience in Corporate Accounting or in managing corporate structures
• You are experienced in the preparation of annual financial statements according to HGB and have very good HGB knowledge as well as strong balance sheet proficiency
• You also bring knowledge of IFRS; experience in a group environment as well as knowledge in the area of consolidation are an advantage
• You have good knowledge of VAT law
• You are very proficient in using MS Excel and have experience with ERP systems such as SAP FI, SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics, DATEV, or comparable systems
• You have good written and spoken English skills
• An independent, analytical, and structured way of working as well as a high sense of responsibility characterize you
• You convince through initiative and solution orientation, as well as strong communication skills and a confident manner
• You can present complex issues in an understandable way and convince through team and service orientation as well as high reliability
