Our school

Rugby School Dubai (RSD) opened its doors in August 2016. It is the next chapter of Rugby School’s legacy, where British heritage meets the UAE’s forward ambition. Guided by the ethos, “The Whole Person, The Whole Point,” we pair academic depth with pastoral strength so pupils grow in scholarship and in self. Across rigorous academics, sport, performing arts and music, leadership and service, and House life, every experience will help each child find their voice, expand their horizons, and lead with purpose.

The school takes pupils from FS1 to Year 13 and is in the Nad Al Sheba district of Dubai. We are proud members of the Aldar Education group.

Rugby School Dubai is looking for an exceptional School Librarian to lead and develop our library provision within senior school, fostering a culture of reading, research, and lifelong learning across the school.

The successful candidate will:

Hold a relevant degree in Library and Information Science, Education, English, or a related field.

Have a minimum of two years’ experience working in a school library, educational setting, or library environment.

Demonstrate excellent knowledge of library management systems, information literacy, and contemporary library practices.

Be passionate about promoting reading for pleasure and supporting literacy development across all age groups.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support curriculum delivery and research skills development.

Place students at the centre of their work, creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.

Be enthusiastic about professional development and continuous improvement.

Be willing to immerse themselves in school life, contributing to the wider pastoral and co-curricular programme.

Have strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
