Able to read drawings Able to work independently without supervision Ability to follow specific tiling patterns Ability to use tile cutters and other tools of the trade Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment Cut tiles and shape them properly to ensure they fit around obstacles and in tight corners and odd spaces using power and hand tools Follow blueprints precisely and mark and measure surfaces that need to be tiled to determine how to go about jobs Inspecting surfaces to be tiled Identify and rectify wall and floor tiling defects Strong manual skills Tap tiles into place carefully using tools to properly adhere tiles to the base, making sure not to break or damage tiles Willingness to work overtime Willingness to work in non-climate-controlled conditions (heat, cold, outdoors) Willing to work a midnight shift
