Job Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day facilities management and building operations for assigned sites and client facilities.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance of building services and M&E systems, including ACMV, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and other building systems.
- Plan, schedule and monitor maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and smooth operation of facilities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure defects, breakdowns and maintenance issues are identified and rectified promptly.
- Coordinate and manage contractors, subcontractors and service providers to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to the required quality standards.
- Monitor service performance and ensure compliance with contractual requirements, maintenance schedules, KPIs and service levels.
- Liaise with clients and building representatives on operational matters, maintenance issues and service requirements.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance reports, work orders, inspection records and other relevant documentation.
- Support budgeting, quotation, procurement and cost-control activities for facilities management works.
- Ensure all facilities management activities comply with relevant statutory, safety and environmental requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering and project teams on upgrading, improvement and rectification works.
- Identify opportunities to improve building performance, energy efficiency, reliability and operational effectiveness.
- Lead and supervise site technicians and facilities management personnel where required.
- Attend to emergency breakdowns and coordinate timely corrective actions to minimise operational downtime.
- Support the Facilities Management team in delivering high-quality engineering and maintenance services to clients.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Building Services, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Construction or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, M&E engineering or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of building services and M&E systems, preferably with experience in ACMV, electrical, plumbing, fire protection or integrated building services .
- Experience managing contractors, subcontractors and service providers.
- Good understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
- Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and internal teams.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Knowledge of Singapore workplace safety and statutory requirements.
- Able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to operational issues.
- Strong leadership and team management skills for candidates applying for a managerial position.
- Candidates with experience in commercial, industrial, institutional or government facilities will be advantageous.
