Buyer for OEM

Core Responsibilities Develop and automate procurement reports and data analytics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.

Act as the key Supply Chain representative for projects, coordinating procurement activities and ensuring on-time delivery.

Manage PO creation and changes, including subcontracting and outside services, while monitoring supplier OTIF performance.

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on delivery, performance, and commercial compliance.

Work with Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to resolve WO/PO discrepancies and ensure system and financial accuracy.

Identify and mitigate supply risks through supplier engagement and proactive procurement planning.

Develop sourcing strategies focused on cost efficiency, commercial terms, and inflation management.

Establish supply agreements and drive improvements in cost, lead time, terms, and supplier performance.

Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions for key and critical suppliers.

Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and governance requirements.

Coordinate material deliveries and ensure on-time delivery performance.

Maintain accurate material, supplier, pricing, and expenditure databases.

Support material reviews, escalate supply issues, and drive assigned KPIs and performance improvements.

Qualifications 5+ years of experience in project management, procurement, and strategic sourcing within a manufacturing environment.

5+ years of ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), including material planning parameters.

3+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform and Office, particularly Power Automate, Power BI, and Excel.

Strong knowledge of supply/demand planning, inventory management, and procurement cost impact.

Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and decision-making skills.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage the full sourcing cycle.

Knowledge of metal commodity pricing is an advantage.

Understanding of machining and secondary processes such as heat treatment, coating, and welding is an advantage.
