Logistics Planner (Ferry & Rail)
Within our Modality team (7 colleagues), everything revolves around ensuring the smooth running of our intermodal transports via Ferry & Rail. As a Modality Employee, you collect information from our intermodal suppliers, plan tankcontainers based on available capacity, and keep the operational status fully up-to-date. If something goes differently than planned — such as a strike or rail and terminal works — you switch gears quickly and arrange alternatives. You will join a young, dynamic department where everyone has their own responsibilities, but helps each other where necessary.
What will you do? Collecting information about our Ferry, Rail, and Deepsea suppliers and processing it in the Transport Management System;
In case of deviations from planned intermodal transports, you inform all involved departments;
You plan tankcontainers based on the capacity on the intermodal routes;
In case of delays (strikes, rail, or terminal works), you share them with colleagues and ensure alternatives are found;
You advise colleagues on improvements in execution, so that the service for the customer is improved;
You measure the service level of the intermodal suppliers and report to Procurement.
You are our ideal candidate if you: Have an MBO level in logistics or transport, or several years of relevant work experience;
Take responsibility and work independently and proactively;
Are customer-oriented, structured, problem-solving, and analytical;
Manage the daily operation effectively;
Communicate excellently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
What do we offer? A suitable salary (€ 2,750 to € 3,750), 30 vacation days (based on full-time), 8% holiday allowance, a holiday bonus of € 550 gross, and a good pension scheme;
Hybrid working with Rotterdam as a fixed base, a home office allowance of € 16 net per month, and once every five years up to € 300 net for setting up your home workspace;
