Junior Logistics Coordinator
About the company
Within our Modality team (7 colleagues), everything revolves around ensuring the smooth running of our intermodal transports via Ferry & Rail. As a Junior Logistics Coordinator, you coordinate our intermodal transports: you collect information from suppliers, plan tankcontainers based on available capacity, and keep the operational status up-to-date. If something goes differently than planned — a strike or rail and terminal works — you switch gears quickly and arrange alternatives. You will join a young, dynamic department where everyone has their own responsibilities, but helps each other where necessary. Just graduated or already have some experience? You will be given all the space to learn the ropes and grow.
Your tasks
- You collect information about our Ferry, Rail, and Deepsea suppliers and process it in the Transport Management System.
- You plan tankcontainers based on the capacity on the intermodal routes.
- In case of deviations from planned transports, you inform all involved departments.
- In case of delays (strikes, rail or terminal works), you coordinate with colleagues and arrange alternatives.
- You think along about improvements in execution, so that the service for the customer improves.
- You measure the service level of the intermodal suppliers and report to Procurement.
Requirements
You are our ideal candidate if you
- Have a completed mbo/hbo education in logistics or transport — just finished your studies? You are very welcome.
- Are eager to learn and enthusiastic and want to further develop yourself in logistics.
- Take responsibility and work independently and proactively.
- Are customer-oriented, structured, and analytical, and enjoy solving problems.
- Communicate excellently in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
