Must-have:Security
If you want to make a real difference in the lives of others and help keep Canadians safe - this may be the career for you.
Civilian criminal investigators (CCIs) play an important role in the RCMP of today and the future. They work side-by-side with police officers conducting Criminal Code investigations related to cybercrime and financial crime. While civilian criminal investigators have valid security clearance and limited peace officer status, they will not be armed and will not make arrests.
Civilian criminal investigators participate actively in investigations by:
- interviewing witnesses, victims and suspects
- obtaining and executing warrants
- participating in site searches
- providing court testimonies
